Is there a difference in antioxidant power before and after drinking cold pressed juice made by Kuvings juicer?

🌿

Air, or oxygen, is a vital element for human survival. It makes up about 65% of our body weight and plays a crucial role in various physiological processes. However, not all oxygen is beneficial to our health.

During respiration, 2-3% of the oxygen we inhale is converted into reactive oxygen species (ROS). These molecules have an unstable structure and tend to react with other molecules, including those in our cells. This can lead to cell damage, DNA mutations, and various diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular disease, and neurodegenerative disorders. ROS can also induce cellular senescence and inflammation through various other pathways.

It is estimated that approximately 90% of modern diseases are linked to reactive oxygen species (ROS). To prevent these diseases, it is crucial to manage ROS levels in the body.
Antioxidants are nutrients that neutralize ROS, protecting cells from damaging and preventing disease and aging. Some key antioxidants, including vitamins E and C, uric acid, bilirubin, glutathione, and carotenoids. These antioxidants react with ROS before they can damage cells, playing a vital role in disease prevention and promoting healthy aging.

Fresh fruit and vegetable juices are excellent sources of various antioxidants, making them effective in eliminating ROS. By incorporating these juices into your diet, you can boost your antioxidant defenses and protect your body against the harmful effects of ROS.

Ready to See the Antioxidant Power of Cold Pressed Juice made by Kuvings Juicer?

Let’s witness the remarkable effects of the juice on antioxidant levels firsthand!

We’ve conducted a simple experiment to measure the antioxidant benefits before and after drinking cold pressed juice made from antioxidant-rich apples, oranges, and broccoli.

Using the LPO Kit (SANYOU COSMETICS CO. LTD), you can easily measure the changes in your body’s active oxygen levels.

When excess reactive oxygen species (ROS) attack normal cells, they trigger lipid peroxidation, a process that damages cell membranes. This process generates a substance called malondialdehyde (MDA), which is excreted in the urine.

In this simple experiment, you can visualize the antioxidant effects of the juice by measuring MDA levels in your urine. When MDA in urine reacts with a reagent inside a glass bottle, it turns red. Compare the color of the test strip before and 1 hour after drinking the juice to the color chart provided in the kit. The darker the red color, the higher the MDA level and the more active oxygen is present in your body.

We conducted an experiment to investigate the antioxidant effects of the juice in different age groups (30-60 years old).

[30s]
The color change on the chart indicated a 5-level decrease in active oxygen levels after drinking juice.

[40s]
A 3-level decrease in active oxygen levels was observed.

[50s]
A 2-level decrease in active oxygen levels was seen.

[60s]
There was a 1-level decrease in active oxygen levels.

These results demonstrate that the cold pressed juice can effectively reduce active oxygen levels and enhance antioxidant capacity in all age groups. Additionally, younger individuals showed a higher tendency for increased antioxidant capacity, possibly due to faster metabolism.
